Antoine Griezmann v Joshua Kimmich

Atletico’s Griezmann has the pace and finishing ability to trouble any side. To negate his threat, Bayern will rely on their centre-back Kimmich, who has made a good impression ever since filling in for injured Boateng and Benatia.

Fernando Torres v Phillip Lahm

Torres has scored five goals in his last six games, having regained his goal-scoring prowess in the past season. Bayern right-back Philip Lahm will need to be on his toes against the Spaniard.

Juanfran v Franck Ribery

Bayern’s Franck Ribery has hit top form in the limited games he has played this season and his fast, dribbling runs on the wing will cause problems for Atletico’s rightback, Juanfran who is likely to be marking the Frenchman.

Koke v Thomas Mueller

Mueller has been at the heart of nearly every Bayern attacking move. Against Atletico more of the same will be expected from him. Atletico will try and rely on winger Koke’s runs to lead their attack.

Jose Giménez v Robert Lewandowski

Atletico’s defence, led through the center by Gimenez, will have to make a mark as they look to stop Lewandowski from scoring. The Pole hasn’t converted many. The game provides him a great opportunity to reverse the trend.
