HOWEVER, THE FACT WHETHER OR NOT RAMOOWALIA HAS LISTED HIMSELF AS A VOTER IN UTTAR PRADESH MAY PROVE CRUCIAL WHEN RAJ BHAWAN EXAMINES THE FILE RECOMMENDING HIS NAME FOR NOMINATION AS MLC.

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government is likely to send a list of four new names to Governor Ram Naik for nomination as MLCs.

According to sources, minister for jails Balwant Singh Ramoowalia’s name figures on the list of the four names that may be sent to the governor any time.

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had inducted Ramoowalia as a minister on October 31, 2015. As Ramoowalia has to become a member of one of the two houses of state legislature by April 30 for continuation as a minister, the state government has been left with only two days to get him nominated as MLC.

However, the fact whether or not Ramoowalia has listed himself as a voter in Uttar Pradesh may prove crucial when Raj Bhawan examines the file recommending his name for nomination as MLC. Meanwhile, speculations are rife over the names who may be nominated as the MLCs.

Out of nine names recommended for nomination, on July 2, 2015 the Governor had approved only four names and asked the state government to send five new names for nomination as MLCs.

Giving this information, an official spokesman said the policy would be implemented alike all over the state, including NOIDA, Greater NOIDA and trans-Yamuna region of the state. The main objective of the policy was to make Uttar Pradesh an attractive destination for investors, he said.

As per the provisions of the policy, the state government would develop IT cities and parks on public private partnership (PPP) model. It also provides to encourage investment in the PPP projects. The spokesman said the state government would initiate the process of making its departments paperless once the policy was implemented.
