Live life with less expectations for happiness and joy

We may have a good professional and personal life — comfortable pay, happy family and close friends, but we humans are always unsatisfied. We always want what the other person has, often forgetting that we may have something else that’s better or something that some other person doesn’t have and longs for. But why is it this way?

Except those who are differentlyabled, we all have two hands to hold things, two feet to stand on, two eyes to see this beautiful world, two ears to hear its sounds, one mouth to speak our mind, one nose to smell lovely fragrances…. the list goes on. But sadly, we don’t appreciate what we have. I’ve seen differently-abled people much happier than those who have all of the above mentioned assets. They don’t look at what’s missing in their life, but at how to overcome the problem and still live a full life filled with happiness. Isn’t that something we too can imbibe?

Dissatisfaction is like a continuous straight line. To stop the line or to turn it around is in the hands of a person who is drawing that line. Same is with our feelings, thinking and actions. One should know where to stop or to turn around.

With every passing day our demands increase and wishes change. When these demands are not fulfilled, it leads to dissatisfaction, which — in turn — results in anger, frustration and impatience. All these lead to diseases and disorders that slowly affect each and every cell of our body.

As the saying goes: “Live life with less expectations for more happiness and joy”.
