Advance Lko Metro trial run to Nov 1: CS
Chief secretary Deepak Singhal on Friday directed senior officers of housing department and Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC)to advance the trial run of Lucknow Metro rail by a month and hold it on November 1.
Singhal gave directions in this regard while reviewing the progress of Lucknow metro rail project with principal secretary housing Sadakant and LMRC managing director Kumar Keshav on Friday.
Singhal said besides ensuring quality in the implementation of the project the Lucknow Metro should be made open to public in January 2017 instead of March 2017. Singhal spoke to senior officers in the union government for an early release of Rs 410 crore of central share for the project.
An official press release said Singhal was assured that the centre would release the funds in next three days. He asked officers to submit a comprehensive action plan to complete the remaining works of Lucknow metro in a week.
Singhal also directed the officials of LMRC to convene a meeting with the heads of implementing agency, Larsen & Toubro to further accelerate the implementation of Lucknow metro rail project while ensuring the prescribed quality and standards. ‘ACT ON WOMAN’S COMPLAINT IN 24 HOURS
Chief secretary Deepak Singhal on Friday asked a sub divisional magistrate (SDM) of Aligarh to ensure illegal possession of some musclemen from agriculture land of Angoori Devi of Chaupur village of Aligarh was removed in the next 24 hours.
Singhal spoke to the SDM when Angoori Devi met him in his office here on Friday. She informed the chief secretary that possession of land had not been given to her despite orders of the SDM. CS TALKS TO SINHA
Chief secretary also attended a video conference that cabinet secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha addressed on Friday.
According to sources the issue of delay in construction of a bridge and about 5 km road in Naxal affected Sonebhadra district came up at the conference as the Centre provides funds for projects in the area. The Public Works Division is getting the bridge and the road constructed with an estimated expenditure of Rs 123 crore. The delay had been apparently caused due to revision in estimates of construction of bridge and road. The state government officials informed the cabinet secretary that the tendering process for the construction may be completed by end of July 2016 and work would begin soon thereafter.
