But after eating it, six girls complained of stomachache. The school administration called a local doctor and they were given treatment. Soon more girls complained of stomachache and diarrhoea and their condition began to deteriorate. The school authorities rushed 23 girls to the district hospital. The ill girls told HT that they had stomachache after consuming dalia and bread.
PTI Sushil Sharma and the doctor accompanied the girls to the district hospital. The doctor sealed the kitchen of the school for further investigations and inquiry, as only the sample of food provided to the girls may reveal the exact reason for their illness.
At 9 am, the hospital sources said that barring a few, , all girls had recovered .
Though everyone is reluctant to talk about the incident, it is being alleged that the students were provided stale bread.
