‘SHE’ S SELECTIVE IN RAISING DALIT ISSUES’

-

The Ambedkar Mahasabha has a questionnaire for BSP chief Mayawati asking her why she remains silent when atrocities on dalits are committed and only swings into action when she is personally under attack. The Mahasabha, however, has condemned unwarranted remarks made by expelled BJP leader Dayashanker Singh on Mayawati. Ambedkar Mahasabha president Lalji Prasad Nirmal on Sunday accused Mayawati of being selective while taking up the cause of dalits. Nirmal questioned Bahujan Samaj Party chief ’s silence on the Rohith Vemula issue. Even the recent gang rape of a dalit girl in Haryana went unnoticed by Mayawati, he added.
