GOVT PLUGS LOOPHOLE THAT LET OFFICERS DEAL WITH FIRMS THAT EMPLOYED THEIR KIN
The Centre this week plugged a loophole that could be used by officers to circumvent the prohibition on dealing with firms where his/her kin are employed. Centre made it clear that people related to them by marriage or blood would be treated as family even if they were not dependent on the officer. Earlier relatives, including the officer’s children, were not covered under the restriction if they claimed that the ward was not a dependent of the officer.
