Pleasant weather to stay, but heavy showers unlikely
LUCKNOW: Pleasant weather is here to stay in Lucknow and its adjoining areas for the next three-four days. Overcast conditions would continue but there isn’t a possibility of heavy rain, predicts the weatherman.
“There would be light showers at places across the state capital. But no condition for heavy rain is building up. The weather would be pleasant for the next couple of days,” said JP Gupta, state Met director. Rain and thundershowers are likely to occur at some areas.
The sun played hide and seek in the city on Wednesday too. The day temperature was recorded at 32 degrees, which was one degree below normal. The minimum was recorded at 24.7 degrees, which too was one notch below normal.
With no rain recorded in the city as per the Met department’s forecasts on the day, relative humidity levels were fairly high. On Tuesday, the relative humidity levels were recorded at 97%.
With rain and thundershowers expected at many places across UP, the Met department has also issued a warning for heavy rains at isolated places over the state.
On Tuesday, temperatures remained normal or below normal at nearly all stations. Some parts of UP received heavy rains too. Agra, Ghazipur and Orai recorded 64.6 mm, 37.8mm and 23 mm rains respectively.
