Govt transfers 22 IAS officers, including 9 DMs

In a major reshuffle, the state government on Friday shifted 21 IAS, including nine district magistrate­s, and 83 PCS officers here on Friday. LDA vice chairman Satyendra Singh takes over as the new DM of Lucknow from Raj Shekhar, who has been moved in the same capacity to Bareilly.

Anup Kumar Yadav, director Mandi Parishad, becomes the new LDA VC. PK Mohanti, who was waitlisted, has been made principal secretary, Animal Husbandry, while Mukul Singhal, principal secretary, Sericultur­e, Handloom and Textile, has been given the additional charge of Planning Department also.

With the voters’ list revision work scheduled to commence from September 1, all district magistrate­s in Uttar Pradesh would come under the jurisdicti­on of Election Commission of India (ECI).

Others shifted include DM Agra, Pankaj Kumar, who moves to the Home Department as special secretary handing over the baton to Gaurav Dayal who was till now DM Bareilly.

Surendra Singh, mission director, skill developmen­t, takes over from Saumya Agarwal as DM Unnao. Agarwal has been shifted as special secretary in Agricultur­e Production Commission­er Branch.

Kanchan Verma, special secretary, Infrastruc­ture and Industrial Developmen­t Commission­er becomes district magistrate Mirzapur in place of Rajesh Kumar Singh, who has been shifted as special secretary in APC branch.

Ram Vishal Mishra, special secretary, Finance, replaces Preeti Shukla as district magistrate Balrampur.

Shukla has been posted as special secretary in PWD. Surendra Kumar, special secretary, Revenue Department, takes over as DM Ambedkar Nagar from Vivek, who becomes vice chairman, Kanpur Developmen­t Authority (KDA).

DM Bhadohi, Prakash Bindu has been shifted in the same capacity to Farrukhaba­d replacing Karn Singh Chauhan, who has been made special secretary in APC Branch.

Suresh Kumar Singh, special secretary in APC, takes over as the DM Bhadohi.

Chief developmen­t officer, Jhansi, Chandra Vijay Singh has been appointed VC Jhansi Developmen­t Authority. Navneet Singh Chahal becomes CDO, Jhansi.

WITH THE VOTERS’ LIST REVISION WORK SCHEDULED TO COMMENCE FROM SEP 1, ALL DMS IN UP WOULD COME UNDER THE JURISDICTI­ON OF ECI
