LUCKNOW: To make online patient care more accessible, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), has launched a Patient Portal (beta version). SGPGIMS authorities said that this would reduce the long queues in the hospital.

The patient portal is hosted at www.sgpgims.in . This can be accessed by new patients desirous to seek treatment at SGPGI or a patient already registered with SGPGI. The service is available through Internet protocol round the clock and can be accessed from anywhere. A number of patient care services will be available on this portal.

The list includes: online registration of new patients, consultation appointment for exiting patient, cancellation of appointment of existing patient, printing and viewing of investigation reports, printing and viewing of patient’s accounts, viewing of patient’s complete electronic medical records (EMR), printing and viewing of status of patient employers deposit (PED) account.

The login ID of the patient on this portal is the patient’s CR. No: (10 digit number provided on registration card).

The password can be set/created using an OTP number sent by the system on the registered mobile number of the patient.

This is to ensure the confidentiality of the record of the patient.

“The institute has made efforts to facilitate patients and to reduce the long queues in the hospital. This portal is Beta Version and may have some unforeseen bugs or problems,” informed Monalisa Chaudhari, senior public relations officer.

A NUMBER OF PATIENT CARE SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THIS PORTAL.
