Karminder scored the first half-century break in the ongoing Pool Palace Billiards and Snooker Handicap Prize Money Tournament, defeating Soud Mushir to enter quarterfinals of the snooker where he will meet Shadab Khan.

Displaying his fine potting and positioning skills Karminder (+7) was in his elements against Saud (+24) after out potting him in the first frame itself and winning it easily by 95-56 points. Karminder unleashed his knockout punch in the second frame potting neatly and positioning himself accurately while accumulating the tournaments highest break so far of 55 points.

On table No 2, Shadab (+21) playing above the standard of his handicap points gave no chance to much higher ranked Vansh Panjwani (scr.00) and won the first frame easily at 68-15 points.

In the second frame Vansh produced some fine pots and looked like justifying his seeding but missed shots at crucial junctures to lose the closely fought frame by 58-69 points for an early exit from the tournament. Later playing on table No 1 in the battle of equals where in both Musa (+24) and Aman (+24) started with the same handicap it was Musa who produced a much better game and temperament to eliminate Aman in straight frames winning by 76-47, 65-58 points to enter the quarterfinals. Shobit Chandra had the last quarterfinal berth. He defeated Sachin Yadav (+14) 59-30, 62-32. CONDOLED
