Ayodhya saints hail surgical strike in PoK
The saints of Ayodhya have joined the rest of the country in hailing the Indian Army’s surgical strike at terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
President of the Ram Janmbhoomi Nyas Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, who had earlier compared Pak terrorists to villains from the Mahabharata era, said the attack on terror camps had restored the people’s confidence in the Modi government as well as the Indian Army.
“Terrorists are detrimental to world peace and progress. The action has been very satisfying as in every era the good has ultimately prevailed over the evil,” he said.
Member of Ram Janmbhoomi Nyas Mahant Suresh Das said surgical strike was a befitting reply to the neighbouring country which had been sponsoring terror in India.
Head of the Ayodhya Sant Samiti Mahant Kanhaiya Das said Indian Army had done the nation proud by its action.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Purshottam Narain Singh and the Parishad’s spokesman in Ayodhya Sharad Sharma also lauded military action.
“Terrorists are sneaking into our country and killing our brave soldiers in the most cowardly manner. There has been a surge in infiltration. Modi government and the army have now communicated to Pakistan that it should not take India lightly. The surgical strike also demonstrates the Modi government is committed to tackling terrorism with all seriousness,” they said.
The military action came days after the terror attack in Uri that left 18 Indian soldiers dead.
The Indian Army reportedly neutralised nearly 35 terrorists who were putting up at terror camps. Barely a couple of days back, Ayodhya saints had told HT that it was high time that Pakistan was taught a lesson.
