Now, AAP to strengthen base in Himachal

After Punjab and Goa, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday announced to strengthen party’s base in Himachal Pradesh and then in Gujarat.

“We will strengthen the party’s stand in Himachal Pradesh. Plans are afoot to enrol 10-lakh members. Its Aam Aadmi Party that will provide political alternativ­e in Himachal,” said party official spokesman Sanjay Singh.

Singh formerly invited the formers leaders of the Himachal Lokhit Party to join the AAP. He while addressing the media made dual attacks on ruling Congress and Opposition BJP. He targeted both the parties.

“In Himachal, chief minister Virbhadra Sinbgh himself is facing serious cases of corruption,” he said, adding that where the head of the government himself is involved in corruption, then one can think about the party’s commitment to fight corruption.

Similarly, corruption was rampant during the BJP regime. “Both the Congress and the BJP have been fooling the public. The AAP will provide a strong third alternate to people of the state,” he said, adding that the AAP will register a resounding victory in elections.

that the party is not sure whether it will contest elections in Uttar Pradesh or not.

“We do not want to contest elections just for the sake of it. Our party will contest the elections in the states after building strong cadres,” he said, announcing that in Himachal the party will contest all the seats.

Sanjay said the party will shortly convene a seminar either at the district or Lok Sabha level.

“This government is only felicitati­ng Ambanis and Adnanis. Adani imports pulses for `39 and later after hoarding them the same is being sold to common man at the price ranging from `200 to `245 per kilogram,” he said.

On the occasion, former state transport minister, Mahender Nath Sofat, announced merger of Himachal Lokhit Party with the AAP.
