UDAIPUR: Four women from New Zealand have painted graffiti on untidy walls here as their tribute to this beautiful city. The women who were in Udaipur for a fortnight in September have turned the walls of the city of lakes into open-air art galleries.

The city, which is famous for its natural beauty, adorable sites and pleasant environment, has been included in the smart cities list by the central government.

Every resident of Udaipur is doing his bit in making the city more beautiful and smarter but what this group of foreigners did is truly commendable.

The four women — Chathey Pope, Ema Frost, Sacha Stejko and Hayley King — are painters and designers. They have also trained government school students of Badi village in painting, pottery and jewellery making.

Seeing the women with colours and brushes in their hands, local artists also joined them.

Even people passing by them could not stop themselves from admiring the colourful art work done on walls.

Various administrative agencies are working towards maintenance of the abandoned and untidy building walls and structures of the city but the foreign tourist coming to the city are also contributing their efforts to make it beautiful.

The women told media that Udaipur is blessed with awesome sites, flora and fauna but it will become more hygienic and cleaner place when people living here get motivated to keep it clean and beautiful.
