Kerala killings, Dalit atrocities top RSS agenda at Hyd huddle
Expressing concern over the growing atrocities against Dalits and Adivasis in the country, the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which commenced in Hyderabad on Sunday, reiterated its commitment to empowerment of marginalised sections of the Hindu society.
Briefing the media on the first-day deliberations at Annojiguda on the city outskirts, RSS joint general secretary Prof V Bhagaiah said the Sangh wanted that the marginalised sections of Hindu society, especially the SCs and STs, receive grants promised by the government.
He said the Sangh was actively working with other organisations towards empowerment of SCs and STs.
“The Sangh believes that discrimination on the basis of jaati (caste) is anti-human, unconstitutional and does not have sanction of Hindu Shastras,” Bhagaiah said.

The convention also discussed the politically motivated murder of Hindus, particularly of RSS and BJP workers, by “intolerant Communists” in Kerala and other parts of the country.
Bhagaiah said the Sangh would also discuss global economic crisis, global warming and animosity among nations.
“This year is the birth centenary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. He propounded the philosophy of ‘Ekatma Manava Darashan’ or Integral Humanism based on Bharatiya philosophical foundations. It gives a global view of sustainable development, sustainable consumption and humane treatment of nature,” he added.
