Herbal cough syrup launched by CIMAP
On the 75th CSIR foundation day, the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) released a herbal cough syrup on Monday. The syrup, unlike the regular cough syrups, does not contain any alcohol. The syrup is specifically active against allergic cough and is made from three different herbs. The scientists involved in the research include DN Mani, AK Shasany, MP Darokar and team. An agreement was also signed between CIMAP and M/S IPCA Laboratories, Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) for tech transfer of high yielding variety of CIM-Sanjeevani (Artemisia annua).
