Cop kills wife after seeing her dancing to DJ music

SANTOSH KUMAR, POSTED IN A JAIL, HAD GONE TO ATTEND AN ENGAGEMENT WHERE HIS WIFE ASHA BEGAN DANCING TO DJ MUSIC.

A policeman became furious when he saw his wife dancing to DJ music with men during a function and shot her dead on Wednesday. He later cremated her without informing the police.

But the Agra police somehow got the information and registered a case on Friday against the cop who is absconding. The families of the policeman and the deceased are missing.

Santosh Kumar, posted in a jail, had gone to attend an engagement where his wife Asha began dancing to DJ music. As some men were also dancing there, Santosh lost his temper. He whipped out his licensed pistol and shot his wife dead.

The policeman managed to conceal the crime with the support of his brothers-in-law and the matter was not reported to the police. Santosh cremated Asha and all evidence was removed. But someone tipped off the police.

“A case was registered against Santosh Kumar today when the matter came to our knowledge. A search is on to nab him,” said Anil Yadav, station incharge of Malpura police station here.

Police face an uphill task with both families going into hiding. Asha’s brothers are accused of colluding with the accused and three of them have been named in the FIR.
