JALANDHAR: Leveling serious allegations against the present leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), party’s rebel volunteer’s front on Saturday declared that the front would contest polls on all the 117 seats of Punjab in order to ensure the defeat of the AAP’s official nominee.

“Earlier, it was decided field candidates on 59 from where the AAP has given tickets to tainted and outsiders by charging huge money. But today, all volunteers from Punjab, opined that we should contest polls on all the seats to expose AAP and its false claims of honesty,” said party’s volunteer from Tarantaran Harinder Singh Zira, after the meeting of the main volunteers from the state in Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Hall here.

The volunteers also adopted few political resolutions in which it was decided to bring all former AAP leaders, except former party convener Sucha Singh Chottepur, to “guide” the volunteer front.

“Except Chottepur, the volunteer’s front was united in inviting Patiala MP Dharamvir Gandhi, Fatehgarh Sahib MP Harinder Singh Khalsa, Dr Daljit Singh, Jassi Jasraaj, Karamjit Singh (retd IAS) and all others to guide the front in exposing the double standards and loot done by

THE VOLUNTEERS ALSO ADOPTED FEW POLITICAL RESOLUTIONS IN WHICH IT WAS DECIDED TO BRING ALL FORMER AAP LEADERS, EXCEPT FORMER PARTY CONVENER SUCHA SINGH CHOTTEPUR, TO “GUIDE” THE VOLUNTEER FRONT.

Kejriwal’s team in giving tickets. The political affairs committee led by me, would visit all these leaders appealing them to join us,” said Zira. There were reservations of some volunteers on the name of Chottepur, he said.

Meanwhile, in the meeting the volunteers gathered from across the state leveled serious allegations of corruption against present leadership of the party.

“Just few days ago before the allotment of the ticket, Jalandhar Zone Observer of AAP Rajiv Chaudhary, came to us and said if we were having Rs 2 crores to spend on the elections if given ticket. We categorically denied. But it was all drama to give ticket to Chandan Grewal, who joined party just one day prior to the ticket allotment,” said a volunteer Amarjit Singh Khalsa, while claiming him as a witness between Chaudhary and another ticket aspirant, Vinod Kumar Modi. Chaudhary denied these charges terming it as “trash”.

Many volunteers alleged that the party which was claiming to change the political scenes, have now asked its candidates to spend atleast Rs 40 lacs on showing achievements of the Delhi government through big screens, posters and the hoardings.

“Earlier, we were of the feeling that Kejriwal was not aware about the misdeeds of the party affairs incharge Sanjay Singh and organizational head Durgesh Pathak. But its amply clear now all this is being done through a strategy of Kejriwal just to keep Punjabi leadership at bay,” said another volunteer Bharpur Singh.
