Who will form next govt? Kashi’s women astrologers not on same page
Which party will form the next government in Uttar Pradesh?
This is the question which the people have started asking each another despite the fact that the state has yet to witness three more phases of polling.
While there is about a fortnight’s time for the election results to be out, nine women astrologers of Varanasi have tried to predict the poll outcome by analysing the position of the stars of political parties and leaders.
However, the astrologers, who have formed an organisation Kashi Jyotish Vidushi Pari- shad, have made conflicting predictions.
While some of them said the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will put up a good show in the election, others rooted for the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
The astrologers attended a meeting at Bharatiya Shiksha Mandir Inter College where they made the predictions and gave reasons to back their analysis.
All the astrologers studied the horoscopes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SP president Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati to arrive at their respective conclusions.
Five of the nine astrologers predicted that stars favoured the SP-Congress alliance while four said the BJP would put up a good show in the election.
“I studied the horoscope of Akhilesh Yadav and his two major political rivals. His stars are in a strong position. Chances are bright for the SP-Congress alliance,” said one of the astrologers Pooja Dwivedi. As per her predictions, BJP will be on number two position.
Astrologers Neeraja Barnwal, Seema Kapur and Dr Abha Yagyaseni have made predictions on similar lines.
Astrologer Ratna Verma claimed the BJP would emerge as the single largest party and would form government in the state.
“In case it falls short of some seats, it may forge a post-poll alliance with the BSP,” she said.
“The present position and movement of stars in the horoscope of Prime Minister Narendra Modi indicates the BJP’s success in elections,” Verma said.
She predicted the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance might emerge as number 2. “It will be in a strong position,” she added. Swati Barnwal and Anjali Soni have supported Verma’s analysis.
According to Lata Srivastava, the BSP would perform well and emerge as the number two party as stars were favouring Mayawati.
Some of these astrologers have studied at the BHU and others have studied under the guidance of their gurus.
Asked if they were confident of their predictions, the astrologers said they hoped their analysis would come true.
WHILE SOME ASTROLOGERS SAID THE SPCONGRESS ALLIANCE AND THE BJP WILL PUT UP A GOOD SHOW, OTHERS PREDICTED THE BSP WILL BE ON A STRONG FOOTING
