Taking potshots at PM Narendra Modi over his bullet train promise, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav advised him on Monday “to hurry up as he will not get another chance at the Centre”.

Hitting back at Modi for his charge that UP lacked development, the SP leader said Modi served as the chief minister of Gujarat for three terms but could not get a Metro there.

“We have started Metro train but where is your bullet train? It has been three years now since your government came to power at the Centre, where has that train gone,” Akhilesh asked at an election rally in Deoria.

Referring to Modi’s remark on mass copying in the state, the CM said those who read newspapers must have come across that people were being caught for leaking papers in BJP-ruled states. Referring to the then US President Barack Obama’s visit to India, he said, “We know that there was a rich man who got his name printed on his suit and the same has been done by Modiji.”

Talking about the BSP supremo, the CM said Mayawati could anytime align with the BJP. People should always be careful of her, he cautioned.

Addressing another rally in Gorakhpur, he took a dig at BJP lawmaker Yogi Adityanath over his statement on power crisis in Gorakhpur. “I have heard a Baba lives here. He is very much concerned about crematoriums and graveyards. We Samajwadis (those having socialist ideology) want to tell him whichever area in Gorakhpur he visits, he will find laptops distribute by the SP government.”

“As far the electricity, I want this Baba to hold wires passing through his ashram to experience if power was coming. The PM in one of his rallies had attacked Akhilesh on electricity scenario in Uttar Pradesh.
