LDA gears up to implement government agenda

-

LUCKNOW: After change of government in the state, the Lucknow Development Authority has also geared up to roll out the agenda of the BJP government and disposal of complaints of house allottees will be its priority.

The development authority has decided to closely monitor complaints received at its 22 Jan Suvidha Kendras all across the city and also at its Gomti Nagar and Lal Bagh offices.

After a review meeting of the LDA, vice chairman Satyendra Singh issued directives to connect all Jan Suvidha Kendras with local area network for close monitoring of complaint redressal.

It may be pointed out that the development authority is infamous for making its aggrieved customers run from pillar to post for several years.

Chief minister Aditya Nath ‘Yogi’ has already made it clear that addressing grievances of people would be on the priority list of the state government.

The development authority has also decided to implement a zonal monitoring plan to ensure successful completion of all projects, including those which are on the priority list of the state government.

The LDA has divided the city into several zones.

The LDA VC has also directed the chief town planner to prepare a zonal regulation plan to ensure a close watch on all development projects of the authority.

The development authority has also decided to crack a whip on all illegal structures under construction.

To ensure proper action against illegal buildings, the LDA has decided to prepare a zonal enforcement plan. Two officials of the rank of additional secretary would be in charge of trans-Gomti and other parts of the city to keep a close eye on all illegal construction activities.

Traffic management is also a major issue in the city where traffic jams have become a routine feature. The development authority is also responsible to a large extent for this problem. Majority of the multi-storey buildings in the city do not have parking space. Vehicles parked on the road add to the traffic chaos in the city. The LDA has decided to prepare a traffic plan for every zone to streamline movement of traffic.

House allottees often complain about undue delay in handing over of houses allotted to them by the LDA and poor maintenance of its properties.

Now, with the change of government in the state people are hopeful that the LDA would also change its style of working.
