VHP wants Ram temple in Ayodhya by 2018
ALLAHABAD: Notwithstanding the BJP stand, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is likely to go ahead with the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
“The decision in this regard is expected to be taken at the meeting of Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) scheduled to be held in Haridwar next month,” said Mukeshji, VHP’s Sangathan Mantri, Kashi pranth.
“If the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fails to support the cause it would have a little role in the construction of Ram Temple,” he added while claiming that the VHP in association with saints of all 13 Akharas are all geared up to fulfill the temple promise.
“Today the Yogi Adityanath government has completed one month in Uttar Pradesh while Narendra Modi government has served the country for three years. No more excuses would be accepted for delay in construction of temple in Ayodhya. It has been around 25 years of wait for a temple in Ayodhya in a country like India,” he said.
“Just wait for the meeting next month and if all goes well, temple will be constructed in Ayodhya in 2018,” claimed Mukeshji.
He said that after the end of the two-week long Ram Mahotsav on April 11, district level meetings are being held nationwide by activists of VHP for garnering maximum support of Hindus for construction of temple in Ayodhya besides strengthening Parishad’s network to prove its strength in Delhi anytime post elections of 14th President of India in July.
In the Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal meeting of VHP to be held on May 3, heads of all the 13 akharas besides leading saints, including Shankaracharya Vasudevanand Saraswati, office-bearers of Akhara Parishad would participate.
It may be mentioned in Sant Sammelan held during Magh Mela in January this year, saints had threatened to go ahead on their own on the Ram temple issue if BJP government failed to abide by its promise for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
