LU PG ADMISSION PROCESS BEGINS
LUCKNOW: The admission process for various postgraduate courses at Lucknow University will begin from Friday. The last date for submission of forms is May 31.
The process will be carried out for 4386 seats and based on entrance test. “The schedule of entrance test will be declared on June 3, 2017. These are likely to be held from June 10–25. On the day of the test, candidates have to bring their admit card along with a photo ID proof failing which they won’t be allowed to write the exams,” said Prof Anil Mishra, coordinator, admissions 2017. The test will be of two hours.
There would be a single form and common entrance test for Botany, Microbiology and plant sciences, Chemistry, pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physics, Electronics and renewable energy. There would be separate forms but a common entrance test for MSc in Statistics and MA in Statistics.
This would be applicable for MSc and MA in Biostatistics, Anthropology and forensic sciences also. The university will also seek admissions for add on programmes, including proficiency, diploma, advance diploma and post graduate diploma courses.
Candidates, who will be eligible for admissions into add on programmes, include students of the university, corporate sponsored applicants, government employees and defence personnel. “Such applicants will not have to appear for entrance test and will be admitted directly on the recommendation of the head of department,” an official said.
The varsity has also decided to allow admissions for vacant seats of LLM 2016. “There are 5 seats of the SC category in the LLM admissions of 2016. Interested candidates may contact the dean, faculty of Law till April 24, so that further process could be carried out,” the official added.
