ALLAHABAD : Actor Siddharth Nigam wants to bag gold medal for India in gymnastics in Olympics. “Even though I am busy shooting for films and TV serials, gymnastics is still my first love. I will someday compete for gold in Olympics,” said Siddharth Nigam.

Siddharth was in his home city Allahabad on Thursday to promote good health and education at Khelgaon Public School in the presence of chief development officer Andra Vamsi and others. He studied and got training for gymnastics at this school.

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times Nigam said “People generally confuse Parkour or movie action with gymnastics whereas gymnastics is altogether different,” said Nigam, who was selected to play young Aamir Khan in movie ‘Dhoom 3’ due to his extraordinary gymnastics skills.

Nigam who spends most of his time in Mumbai, however, miss UP’s chaat the most.

“I just miss the spicy and mouth watering taste of UP’s chaat and phulki,” he added with a giggle.

Despite getting all the limelight in Mumbai this UP boy is so passionate about his state that he even requested his producers to shoot his next movie in Allahabad.

“I requested the producers to shoot my next movie ‘Tez Raftar’ in Allahabad. It was a pleasant surprise when they agreed. Interestingly, this movie is all about a slum boy who despite facing all the adversities makes a big name in sports. I am playing the lead role in it. It would most likely release in June-July this y ear,” he said.
