‘Exploring out of court solution to temple issue’
Deputy chief minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, has said the BJP is exploring the possibilities if the Ram temple issue can be resolved out of the court as suggested by the Apex court.
He further said if it did not happen, the party will wait for the court’s decision in this regard. Maurya expressed these views during an interaction with journalists in Ayodhya on Thursday.
He was here to attend the closing ceremony of a two-day regional training workshop of the BJP’s core workers of Avadh region at Manas Bhavan in Ramghat. Speaking at the workshop, Maurya said PM Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath were making joint efforts on the development front.
The deputy CM also chaired a review meeting of the district administration at the Circuit House. Later, Maurya went to the disputed site to have a ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla.
State minister for child development, Anupama Jaiswal; BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP, Shiv Pratap Shukla, and the party’s organisational secretary Sunil Bansal also addressed the training workshop. Nearly 250 office bearers of the BJP from 14 districts of Avadh region participated in the event. Regional secretary, Neeraj Singh, conducted different sessions during the workshop.
Besides local BJP MP Lallu Singh and four local MLAs namely Ved Prakash Gupta, Ram Chandra Yadav, Indra Pratap Tiwari and Baba Gorakhnath, party’s national council member, Dr BB Mani Tripathi, and regional organisational secretary, Brijbahadur, also graced the occasion.
Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by state minister for cooperative societies and BJP’s Avadh region president, Mukut Bihari Verma, on Wednesday.
