CM CAN CALL OFFICERS ON LANDLINE ANYTIME
LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath can call administrative officers, including district magistrates and superintendent of police, on their landline phone to check on them, the state government said on Friday. Government spokesperson and energy minister Srikant Sharma said officers who operate from camp offices must start sitting in offices to meet people and address their grievances so the public doesn’t have to run to Lucknow to meet the CM and ministers for justice. Adityanath also ordered his ministers to come up with the report card on 100 days of the government in UP.
Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday demanded the Centre to review its policies to ensure check on attacks on jawans by Maoists and terrorists. Akhilesh was here to pay homage to captain Ayush Yadav who was killed in a terrorist attack in Kupwara in Kashmir on Thursday.He also announced financial assistance of Rs 30 lakh for the kin of Captain Ayush.
He said the union government must keep its doors open for dialogues and also take suitable action to curb attacks on jawans. He said the government had ample powers and means to take any effective measures to curb such incidents and it should come forward with a definite and clear policy to curb such activities.
He said there were a few people in the society who tried to disturb the peace but it is for the government to see how best they could be handled.
Former union minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal, who also arrived to pay homage to Ayush, said the wrong policies of the government were responsible for the growing terrorist activities.
Sri Prakash Jaiswal suggested that the government should stop making misleading statements and instead get serious in handling the most complicated situation.
Former deputy mayor PN Rai also visited the house of Ayush and paid floral homage to the martyr.
However, none of the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders or ministers from the city reached to pay homage.
