The police team probing the murder of two sisters in Para locality said the sequence of incidents, assailant’s movement in the house, blood stains found in rooms and his easy entry into the house hinted towards the involvement of an insider in the crime.

The initial findings of forensic experts, who examined the crime scene for four hours, also suggested the same. “The crime is committed in a fit of rage and preliminary examination suggested the assailant attacked the elder sister Aarti when she was present in the kitchen. Her body was also found lying inside the kitchen,” said a forensic expert, who examined the crime scene.

He said the younger sister Antima was apparently attacked when she tried to rescue the elder sister and her body was found in the verandah, barely two meters away. He said a lock of hairs was also found in the younger sister’s hand and it is suspected to be of the assailant.

The expert said the findings suggest that the assailant washed his hand on a wash basin and also took bath or tried to clean blood stains on his body or clothes. He said a liquor bottle was also found in a bathroom that was apparently used to clean the stains.

He said there are also marks of dragging the body inside the house. He said the broken spectacles, slippers, finger prints from the house have also been collected for further examination.

CALL RECORD DELETED

The forensic experts also found three mobile phones from the spot including of the two victims Aarti. They said the call details of Aarti’s mobile phone was also found deleted, an indicator that the assailant was known to her and would have interacted to her before coming to the house. The electronic surveillance sleuths are further scanning the call records of the girls and other family members.

DIG Praveen Kumar too admitted that there could be involvement of an insider in the crime. He said there is no forced entry in the house which suggested that the assailant was known to the girls and they themselves opened the main gate. He said the injuries caused are of brutal nature which also hinted towards the fact that crime was done in a fit of rage.
