LUCKNOW: In an apparent fight over group supremacy, two Class 12 drop-outs were allegedly kidnapped in an SUV by a group of youngsters in Vibhuti Khand area here on Saturday. The kidnappers then dumped them near Loreto crossing after keeping them captive for around two hours. The victims alleged that the accused had also thrashed them and snatched their belongings before releasing them.

Chowk resident Faiz Khan, one of the victims, has lodged an FIR against six youths and their three unidentified accomplices with Vibhuti Khand police station in this connection. Sub-inspector Satyendra Rai, station officer of Vibhuti Khand police station said the charges of illegal confinement, causing grievous hurt and loot had been mentioned in the FIR. Rai said initial probe hinted at a fight for supremacy between two groups. He said further probe in the matter was on and the accused would be called for interrogation.

He said the complainant, Faiz Khan and another victim Faizan Uallah Khan are associated with a group led by one Aryan. He said the opposite group was led by one Saksham Saxena against whom the complaint had been lodged. It is alleged Saksham held the duo captive with the help of Fahad Usman, Saadat Usman, Akram, Ashraf, Ahmad and three other unidentified persons. He said Saksham was a student of a private university and had apparently studied with Aryan.

Faiz mentioned in the complaint that Saksham along with his aides intercepted him when he and Faizan Uallah were heading towards Saharaganj from Rana Pratap Marg at around 3.30am. They were returning home after offering namaz.

Faiz said Saksham and his aides were in an SUV and they snatched Faizan Uallah’s gold chain after beating him. He said he and Faizan Uallah chased Saksham and his aides when they fled towards Gomti Nagar. However, Saksham alerted his other aides in the meantime and finally caught hold of them near Rohtas apartments in Vibhuti Khand. “Saksham and his aides pulled us in the SUV and held us captive for two hours at an unknown place. They beat us badly and later dropped us near Loreto crossing at around 5.30am,” he said and added, “They also threatened us with dire consequences.”
