He said that over a dozen districts will get this facility and preparations are going on for the same. The minister said there was a rise in the number of kidney patients and therefore it was necessary that treatment facility was made available to all.

Singh asked doctors to maintain high standards and quality of treatment for patients. In the first phase, 18 districts will get this facility and gradually all the districts will get such centres on public-private-partnership basis.

Officials of the Balrampur hospital including chief medical superintendent Dr Rishi Saxena, director Dr EU Siddiqui said that registrations for patients has begun and under a schedule they will be provided the dialysis facility, which has been set up with 10 beds.

The unit will have specialist doctors, advanced equipment, and interior of international standards. The hospital already had a dialysis unit but it had old equipment. The unit but has a capacity of providing facility to 60 patients right now.

Officials said to add more patients the unit will require expansion. Since majority patients need dialysis every odd day expansion might become compulsion soon.
