Health Icon Award for eminent city docs
LUCKNOW: Many eminent doctors, including Dr Suryakant and Dr NS Verma of King George’s Medical University were awarded for their contribution in the medical field at the ‘Marvellous Health Icon Award2017’ held on Saturday.
Microvascular surgeon Dr Vaibhav Khanna, cardiologist Dr Bhuvan Tiwari, ophthalmologist Dr Shobhit Chawla got the awards for their great work.
Dr SK Tiwari, the organizing chairman, Amit Singh, organizing secretary and Anurag Batra, the event director said the motive behind the event was not just to recognize the great work but also enable a sharing of knowledge and networking opportunities for the professionals. Addressing the gathering, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, minister for Women and Child Welfare, and Tourism said that since Uttar Pradesh is gradually developing in medical sector, focus should also be upon health/medical tourism.
“Such recognitions act as motivation for professionals to work even hard and achieve higher goals. It also benefits the society ,” said Dr Vaibhav Khanna.
Amit Singh said Indian healthcare industry is experiencing new wave of opportunities due to the boost in domestic demand, raise in innovation healthcare, corporatization of healthcare facilities, influx of medical tourism and government’s push towards Make in India.
