Govt to provide jobs to 70 lakh people in 5 years: CM
CM says his govt will do everything to create jobs for the youth
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday his government would provide employment to 70 lakh people in next five years in various sectors with the help of private investors.
Inaugurating the first ‘Employment Summit’ here, he said his government would do everything to create job opportunities for the youth, who could do wonders if given the right direction.
He said nobody was incompetent if there was a competent employer and assured the youth his government would leave no stone unturned to create a right climate for them in the state. Stressing the need for promoting ‘one district, one product’ concept, the chief minister said the government would provide all the incentives to the local industries to create job opportunities.
He also declared that the government had plans to develop the defunct Awas Shilp Gram in the state capital into an innovation centre, representing each of the 75 districts.
Regretting that private engineering colleges were closing down in the state, he said he called a meeting with the owners and sorted out issues asking them not to shut down.
“When we asked as to what will happen to the college premise after its closure, many said they would convert them into marriage houses,” he said adding, “But we told them the land that the government had provided them will be seized if they closed down the engineering colleges.” The chief minister also handed over appointment letters to 10 youths employed by various companies with the help of the state government. Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma and labour minister Swami Prasad Maurya were also present on the occasion.
