TASK ORIENTED TEAMS TO CURB CRIME, ENSURE PEACE

LUCKNOW : Focussing on task -riented policing, senior superinten­dent of police (SSP) Deepak Kumar has constitute­d three separate teams to keep track of criminals, curb crime graph, maintain communal harmony and ensure peace in sensitive areas. The first team has been formed under the leadership of superinten­dent of police (SP) North, Anurag Vats and additional SP (West) Vikas Chandra Tripathi. This team comprises 18 members, including two circle officers, 5 inspectors, two sub inspectors and 7 constables. “The crime team has been allotted the task to track down the dreaded and notorious criminals moving freely,” said the SSP. He said the team’s primary work would be to expand the police intelligen­ce network and keep tabs on criminals’ movement. He said the team’s priority would be to arrest criminals and put them behind the bars. The SSP said the second team under leadership of SP rural, Satish Kumar would maintain direct communicat­ion with the public and ensure police-public coordinati­on to ensure peace. He said this team also comprised ASP Meenakshi Gupta, two circle officers and 5 police stations in charges. The third team under circle officer of Hazratganj Abhay Kumar Mishra would maintain law and order in the city. The law and order team’s basic task is to deal with protests and other problems around Vidhan Bhawan and Hazratganj area. This team comprises four circle officers and 5 police stations in charges.
