NEW DELHI: UP CM Yogi Adityanath will join “Jana Raksha Yatra” on Wednesday, a day after BJP chief Amit Shah launched it on Tuesday from Payyannur in Kannur, the party said.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Tuesday came down heavily on ruling CPI(M) in Kerala saying the party never believed in democracy and chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan was responsible for most of the political murders in north Kerala.

Inaugurating a 15-day statewide ‘Janraksha Yatra’ in Payyanur the BJP chief said the party would use all democratic means to expose the ruling party and organise protest marches in many places including the CPI(M) headquarters in New Delhi.

“Since the LDF government came to power, 13 of our workers got killed. Some of the gory murders took place in CM’s own constituency. He is answerable to these killings,” he said.

He also questioned human rights activists who continue to maintain silence over political killings in the state.

“The politics of intolerance can’t continue like this. Violence is no means to ideology. Communists should introspect why their ideology is vanishing all over the world. We have seen its plight in West Bengal,” he said adding that Communists often turn champions of rights elsewhere but in Kerala, they murder their political opponents.

UP chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be joining the party president on Wednesday.

The BJP president spoke in Hindi and his speech was simultaneously translated to Malayalam.
