CM orders drive against foreigners staying illegally
LUCKNOW: CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday ordered for the launch of statewide drive against foreigners who were staying illegally in the state. He said criminals had no place in the state and they should be forced to leave. Also, a drive will be launched to check infiltration by the suspicious elements and foreigners. The CM was holding a meeting to review the law and order.
LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed on Wednesday the police officers to take effective measures to check incidents of loot, chain snatching and murder.
He was chairing a meeting to review law and order. Yogi ordered for the launch of a statewide drive against foreigners who were staying illegally.
He also ordered for appointment of station house officers (SHO) on merit and removal of non-performers. He said 73 companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) should be reconstituted on the basis of available human resource, he said. He warned officers that they will be held responsible if any untoward incident occurred during Diwali and Chatth festivals. The officers were also told to prepare a traffic plan to free the cities of recurrent traffic jams.
He said firecracker traders should be provided open space in the city before Diwali after getting clearance from the fire service department.
The police officers should ensure that firecracker godown and shops are not running in the residential areas. Expressing concern over threat issued by criminals from jail, Yogi directed the officers to increase vigil in jails. He directed the GRP to check train accidents and crime in the trains.
