SCIENTISTS, CLINICIANS TO DISCUSS HUMAN DISEASES
LUCKNOW: Research scientists and clinicians will converge on a common platform to discuss human diseases in detail during a threeday national conference of Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) here from Sunday.
“For the first time in the 44-years of association’s existence a national conference is being organized. The basic research scientists and clinicians will hold in depth discussions on better understanding of human diseases,” said Prof AA Mahdi, organiser of the conference and vice chancellor Era’s University and vice president of ACBI at a press conference on Saturday.
Some of the key topics to come up in the conference are ‘understanding professionalism and communication skills in medical school’, ‘advanced microarray techniques,’ ‘advanced cell culture technique and gene expression analysis by rt-pcr,’ ‘estimation of heavy metals and trace elements.’
An exciting and informative scientific programme has been drafted by the scientific committee in which interactive educative sessions by world renowned experts will be held. Over 150 experts from country and abroad will share their experiences and talk about the latest research and technologies in the field of biochemistry.
The conference to be held at scientific convention centre will be attended by over 800 delegates.
Prof Morrizio Ferrari (Italy) president, International Federation of Clinical Chemists, Dr Gustavo Zubieta-Calleja (Bolivia) and Prof Howard Morris (Australia) president-elect, International Federation of Clinical Chemists will interact with the participants.
“Medical science and research associated in the sector is changing and contribution from various sectors is required to understand the changing human diseases,” said Prof Mahdi.
