Women made aware of safety features in Metro
LUCKNOW: To pay tribute to Delhi’s braveheart girl, a group of 200 Power Angels from Women Power Line 1090 visited the Charbagh Metro station and provided female commuters with all important information related to safety and security in Metro trains.
The passengers were made aware of ‘talk back’ button in the coaches, CCTV cameras, availability of female guard at every Metro station among other things.
LMRC managing director Kumar Keshav and senior officials of the corporation greeted the team led by Babita Singh (DSP, 1090).
On this occasion, Keshav said travelling in the Lucknow Metro was completely safe and LMRC had used every new system for

commuters’ safety. He added, “Let’s strive together to make Metro a safe travel for one and all.”
Babita Singh thanked the LMRC for such facilities and asked women police to visit the Metro system and sensitise women commuters on the safety and security aspects.
Through a skit, the Power Angels also conveyed the message that women were no longer weak and that they should not keep misconceptions about them of being weak.
They also took a Metro ride from Charbagh Metro station to Krishna Nagar and back.
