READING IS ALL ABOUT SENSITIVITY TOWARDS A BETTER WAY OF LIFE

- PP Wangchuk ▪ Innervoice@hindustantimes.com

With most pen-pushers such as me, the New Year means special interest on selecting the best of books for reading. Not that one chooses books randomly and be done with that. Choosing books happens to be a very laborious and time-consuming affair; but there is a great pleasure in that too.

One has to read a lot in order to choose what should be read and digested in the next 12 months. One who can go to the extent of madness can do without anything but not without a few books around him.

At times, people like me find meaning in life only in the read-and-act principle, and that best explains the purpose of our journey on this planet. Books arouse our curiosity to know more and discover places that would add freshness and a quality dimension to one’s dreary life.

Books, in fact, are the kind of guides that make you do or die on objects of your special interest.

When you read, to give just an example, man such as Stephen Hawking, you get a heightened sense that life is all about excelling in an area of your choice, and Hawking’s world and space give you plenty of options to try and be a new trendsetter.

Only then life is said to have been fully used for its mission accomplishment.

In other words, reading is nothing but all about sensitivity towards a better way of life! (Inner Voice comprises contributions from our readers.) The views expressed are personal
