Son scared of going back to school: Father
We have decided to withdraw him from this institution after the annual examinations, he says
LUCKNOW: The family of Hrithik Sharma, 6, the Class 1 student who was allegedly stabbed by a senior girl student on the school premises on Tuesday morning, has decided to withdraw the boy from the school after the academic session ends.
Hrithik’s father Rajesh Sharma said he would start looking for a new school after his son was discharged from KGMU’s Trauma Centre.
“My son is very scared of returning to Brightland College. He is talking about the senior girl who stabbed him on his chest and abdomen. We do not want to send our son to study in a school that cannot ensure safety for him. We have decided to withdraw him after his annual examination ends,” Sharma said.
“It is too early to decide where I will shift my son. I am not in a situation to even think of his school admission as of now,” he added.
He said Hrithik’s mother was too scared to send the boy to school. “We will send the boy to school only after the mystery behind the attack is solved,” a relative of the boy said.
Hrithik’s elder brother Ritesh was also a student of this school till a few months back. He was in Class 6.
He suffered from jaundice
after which the doctor advised bed rest to him. The family decided to withdraw Ritesh from the school.
Many other parents are also planning to withdraw their chil-
dren from the school.
“If school management cannot ensure the safety of children what is the point in sending our children there,” said the parents of a classmate of Hrithik.
