LUCKNOW GETS NEW ADG ZONE AND IG RANGE
LUCKNOW: In a major reshuffle, the state government on Friday shifted 26 Indian Police Services (IPS) officers, including two director generals (DG) and nine additional DGs (ADG). The list included ADG Lucknow zone and Inspector General (IG) of Police, Lucknow range. A 1987 batch IPS officer Vishwajeet Mahapatra, who was posted as DG/ADG Varanasi zone, has been posted as DG of Anti-Corruption Organisation, Lucknow after his elevation to DG rank two months ago. PV Ramasastry has been posted as new ADG Varanasi zone.

Similarly, Rajeev Krishna, who was heading Dr BR Ambedkar Police Academy, Moradabad, has been shifted as new ADG of Lucknow Zone replacing Abhay Kumar Prasad, who has been made ADG of Economic Offences Wing while ADG CBCID Dawa Sherpa has been transferred as ADG Gorakhpur Zone, Prem Prakash is posted as ADG Bareilly Zone and Piyush Anand, who was on the waiting list, has been shifted as ADG Establishment. ADG/IG Budget at Police Headquarters, Allahabad. KSP Kumar has been made ADG of Dr BR Ambedkar Police Academy, Moradabad.
Others on the list included ADG SB Shiradkar, who has been made new ADG Intelligence while Hariram Sharma is posted as ADG Administration and Sunil Gupta has been been shifted as ADG CBCID.

Narain Singh has been transferred as IG PAC Headquarters, Lucknow while IG Telecom, Sujit Pandey has replaced him as IG Lucknow Range. Dhruv Kant Thakur, who was on the waiting list after his return from central deputation, has been made IG Bareilly Range and IG Railways Lucknow, Binod Kumar Singh has been transferred as IG Moradabad Range.
IG Public Grievances, Vijay Singh Meena has been posted as IG Mirzapur Range, IG Faizabad Range Vijay Prakash has been attached to DGP headquarters Lucknow and DIG Onkar Singh has replaced him. IG Gorakhpur Zone, Mohit Agarwal has been shifted as IG Public Grievances and IG Neelabja Choudhary has replaced him. IG Bareilly Range SK Bhagat has been transferred as new IG Crime at DGP Headquarters, Lucknow.
DIG Chitrakoot Dham, Banda, Gyaneshwar Tewari has been shifted as DIG of Police Training College, Sitapur and Manoj Tewari has been made new DIG Chitrakoot Dham, Banda. Sharad Sachan has been made DIG Saharanpur Range in place of KS Emmanuel, who has been relieved for central deputation. DIG PAC Sector Lucknow, Praveen Kumar has been made new DIG Law and Order.
