Save gau, gram and Ganga, says Yogi Adityanath

PROTECTION A ‘gaushala’ in every district of UP for conservati­on of cows, says CM

AGRA: Stressing on the conservati­on of gau, gram and Ganga (cow, village and river Ganga) here on Sunday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said a ‘gaushala’ would be set up in every district of the state for conservati­on of cows. He also outlined plans of the state government to provide two ‘desi’ cows to farmers.

Governor Ram Naik, who accompanie­d him, talked about the changing face of Uttar Pradesh and stressed on research work.

The chief minister, who visited ‘Hasanand Gaushala’ in Vrindavan on Sunday, conducted ‘pujan’ amidst chanting of ‘mantras’. He attended ‘hawan’ and participat­ed in ‘gau-pujan’ in the presence of noted seers from Mathura and Vrindavan.

He was apprised of the planned ‘Mahamana Gau Gram Yojna’ in which 2,000 cows are to be taken care of.

Plans are afoot to supply milk, ghee, milk products,cow urine and cow dung to Delhi and other major cities.

About 108 villages around Vrindavan are also to be developed under ‘Mahamana Gram Yojna’.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi said, “There has been an effective check on cow slaughter and cow smuggling since the BJP came to power in the state. The products derived from cows are beneficial for mankind and society should conserve these animals ,” he said, adding there should be more publicity about benefits of organic fertilizer­s and ‘panchgavya’ (prod- ucts from cows.)

Addressing another gathering at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashupalan aur Gau Anusandhan Vishwavidy­alaya in Mathura, the chief minister claimed that if seven Ms were taken into considerat­ion while formulatin­g the industrial policy, it would certainly spur economic growth. “These 7 Ms are Man, Money, Management, Material, Machinery, Motive Power and Market,” he said.

The chief minister inaugurate­d various schemes worth ₹195 crore out of the total outlay of ₹410 crore for Braj area and laid foundation stone for developmen­t schemes worth ₹214.15 crores.

country in the correct perspectiv­e instead of looking at it with a western view and so his ideology lives even after his death. He was of the view that our religious destinatio­ns should not only be places of worship but centres of social awakening,” Yogi said, unveiling the statue of the Bharatiya Janata Party ideologue at the veterinary university.

He called upon scientists in the university to work for increasing productivi­ty and said that stray cattle posed a problem because of owners abandoning them.

Governor Ram Naik welcomed the changing face of the state where schemes worth crores were being launched.

“The universiti­es are now getting funds, so they should work for society. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya propounded ‘Antyodaya’ to talk about the last man awaiting developmen­t. We need to follow his principles,” Naik said.
