FIVE INMATES TEST HIV POSITIVE AT RAE BARELI DISTRICT JAIL

RAE BARELI: Five inmates of Rae Bareli district jail were found HIV positive on Monday after the government order to find the health status of the inmates of the district jails. Jail superintendent, Pramod Kumar Shukla said the inmates were suffering from HIV for about five months now. He said these five inmates were already diagnosed with HIV and were being treated at ART Centre, Unchahar for the last five months . He said all the five inmates were sent every month to the ART centre, Unchahar adding that the general health check-up of all the jail inmates was a routine process at the jail. Chief medical officer Dr DK Singh has also been informed about the health status of the five inmates. He said best medical facilities would be extended to HIV infected jail inmates.
