Four held for beating up Kenyan national
KANPUR: A Kenyan national was allegedly beaten up by four persons while he was trying to board the Gwalior-bound Bundelkhand Express at Jhansi railway station on Monday evening, said police. Four people have been arrested on the complaint of Peter Manier, who suffered injuries and got his cellphone broken. “All the four people nabbed on the platform have been sent to jail. Manier also left Jhansi after primary treatment,” said Ajeet Singh, SHO, GRP, Jhansi. According to police, Manier was trying to get into the train when the accused Jitendra Kumar and three others pushed him in their bid to come out of the gate. They were coming from Varanasi to Jhansi. An argument broke out between them and Manier was assaulted on the platform. The cops who came to his rescue nabbed all the 4, said the police.
