Four held for beat­ing up Kenyan na­tional

KAN­PUR: A Kenyan na­tional was al­legedly beaten up by four per­sons while he was try­ing to board the Gwalior-bound Bun­delk­hand Ex­press at Jhansi rail­way sta­tion on Mon­day evening, said police. Four peo­ple have been ar­rested on the com­plaint of Peter Manier, who suf­fered in­juries and got his cell­phone bro­ken. “All the four peo­ple nabbed on the plat­form have been sent to jail. Manier also left Jhansi af­ter pri­mary treat­ment,” said Ajeet Singh, SHO, GRP, Jhansi. Ac­cord­ing to police, Manier was try­ing to get into the train when the ac­cused Ji­ten­dra Ku­mar and three oth­ers pushed him in their bid to come out of the gate. They were com­ing from Varanasi to Jhansi. An ar­gu­ment broke out be­tween them and Manier was as­saulted on the plat­form. The cops who came to his res­cue nabbed all the 4, said the police.
