CONG MEMBERS STAGE WALKOUT

LUCKNOW: The Congress members staged a walkout in the state Vidhan Sabha accusing the state government of not giving a categorical reply on distribution of sweaters, shoes and socks to students of schools run by basic education board. Minister of state for basic education (independent charge) Anupama Jaiswal though said the state government had adopted a completely transparent and corruption free system, Congress Legislature Party leader Ajay Kumar Lallu said the state government was not giving any information about those who supplied sweaters, shoes and socks to the students. Jaiswal said sweaters were bought through the school management by adopting the tendering process for purchses of Rs 1 lakh & more.
