Man torches ₹5L cash as girl refuses to marry him

BHOPAL: A 24-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh torched ₹5 lakh in cash after a girl refused to marry him. According to police, Jitendra Goyal worked as a cashier in a finance company in Sehore’s Nasrullahg­anj area and had allegedly stolen ₹6.74 lakh from the company’s locker to marry a girl. “Based on his report, a case was registered under IPC section 409 (Criminal breach of trust by public servant, or by banker, merchant or agent.) against Goyal. Within 24 hours of the report, we were able to arrest him,” a police official said.
