Swedish DJ and record producer known for his electronic music found dead in Muscat, Oman

1 “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” the 28-year-old musician’s publicist Diana Baron said in a statement on Friday

2 Avicii was a pioneer of contemporary Electronic Dance Movement and a rare DJ capable of global arena tours. He won two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award and two Grammy nominations

3 His hits include Wake Me Up!, The Days, You Make Me and Le7els. No cause of death was given by the publicist but Avicii had in the past suffered acute pancreatitis, partly due to excessive drinking.
