Encourage family meals

and a healthy diet that is a mix of all food-groups — grains, protein, dairy products, fruits, fats and vegetables. Eggs and fish are preferable to red meats, which are fatty and high in bad LDL cholestero­l.

Avoid packaged

snacks and sugary colas or juices. These should be an occasional treat.

Ensure at least

an hour of daily physical activity. Limit screen time to two hours a day or less.
