CM lays foundation of projects worth ₹100 crore
MEERUT: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday declared extension of Meerut- Bulandshahr highway to Jewar in Noida by spending Rs 650 crore. He added that it will open new avenues of development in the area.
The chief minister was addressing a rally at Numaish ground of Bulandshahr on Friday. He further said the state government will do the branding of pottery industry of Khurja assuring that Bulandshahr will get all benefits of the national capital region. The CM said the expansion of Meerut-Bulandshahr highway into a four lane had already been sanctioned.
He said law and order had improved in the state which was evident by the fact that many companies had agreed to invest Rs 468 crore in the state.
It will help in providing employment to 35 lakh youths, Yogi said. He also laid foundation stones of different projects of worth Ra 100 crore.
Earlier, the chief minister reviewed law and order and development works of Amroha district. He ordered suspension of DPRO Devendra Singh and ADO Nanakchand of Panchayat Hasanpur for irregularities in their work. He also ordered transfer of additional director health, Moradabad, Dr J Rani for negligence and sought explanation of chief engineer electricity Inder Pal Singh for being absent from review meeting.
Yogi said better law and order situation and zero tolerance on corruption were the top priorities of the state government.
He asked officers to improve their working and go into the field to know the ground realities about people’s problems.
Expressing his unhappiness over poor progress of Jal Nigam, panchayati raj, supply, electricity, Mandi Samiti and child development nutrition departments, the CM directed them to improve.
