GIRL HURT IN FREAK ACCIDENT, LMRC EXTENDS HELP

LUCKNOW: A 10-year-old girl was injured in a freak accident on Tuesday morning. While she was standing on the road, an auto-rickshaw rammed into the barricadin­g of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporatio­n near Nishatganj, which fell on the feet of girl. The auto driver fled from the spot, leaving the girl in an injured condition, said Metro officials. Metro engineers and staff took the girl to Shekhar Hospital where she underwent medical examinatio­n. LMRC MD Kumar Keshav directed Metro officials to extend all the possible help to the injured girl on humanitari­an grounds. “Despite no fault of ours, LMRC decided to bear all the expenses on humanitari­an grounds. We want citizens to feel that LMRC cares for everyone,” said Keshav.
