LAND NORMS FOR PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES EASED

The state cabinet decided to amend norms for setting up private sector universities. Existing provisions required a cluster of 40-acre land in urban areas and 100-acre land for rural areas. As finding a large cluster was becoming difficult, the state cabinet decided to bring down the requirement to 20 acre in urban areas and 50 acre in the rural areas.
