Martyred BSF S-I cremated with full honours
AGRA: The mortal remains of Border Security Force (BSF) sub inspector Rajneesh Kumar, 32, who was killed in action in Jammu, were consigned to flames at his paternal village Sadiapur in Etah district on Thursday.
A large number of villagers, including those from nearby areas, bid a tearful adieu to the valiant soldier who died in firing by Pakistan forces in Ram Garh Sector of Jammu on Tuesday night.
Rajneesh Kumar’s threeyear-old son lit the funeral pyre with his uncle Varun Yadav.
The cremation was conducted with full honours in the presence of Member of Parliament Rajveer Singh Raju, in charge minister Atul Garg, MLA, Aliganj Satya Pal Singh Rathore, MP from Farukkhabad Mukesh Rajput, district magistrate Amit Kishore and SSP Etah, Akhilesh Kumar Chaurasia.
Earlier, UP chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath had declared financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the martyr and the cheque was handed over on Thursday.
